Taylor Swift’s Reputation Tour was AMAZING. I’ve procrastinated writing this post because I just can’t find the words to explain what an incredibly fun night it was. So instead, here is a little photo round up of the best day of my whole summer.
I had only asked for one thing for my birthday: tickets to the Taylor Swift show. I had assumed I would never get them. But my parents majorly surprised me with tickets for myself and two friends. Though my sister initially hated the Reputation album, I forced her to come with me. In the end Taylor’s amazing showmanship has convinced her that the “new Taylor” is just as good as the old. And of course I took my college bestie, Mackenzie. She once met Taylor Swift’s mom. I thought maybe they would see each other through the crowd and Andrea would recognize Kenzie and we would all get upgraded to front row seats. Unfortunately, no such thing happened. But Kenzie was an absolute gem and danced with me all night from our second level seats.
As for the jewelry … Ready for it?
If you expected me to wear anything other than the Bolo Locket, you were wrong. This is all I wear now, don’t blame me
I filled my locket with black stardust and a few pearls for an extra sparkly and fierce look. For earrings I wore the black geo hoops that are only available to hostesses this month.
Ohhhhh. Ahhhhh. It’s so sparkly.
And of course I wouldn’t let my friends go out in public without also repping some Origami Owl:
Meg wore a mini gold locket with a music note and piano charm to represent her love for old Taylor.
And Kenzie layered two of the Empowerment Necklaces for a more delicate, yet gorgeous look.

After the concert we rode the metro back to our car. In a daze of hunger and thirst, we made a late night stop at McDonald’s. We ended up waiting in the drive thru for 40 minutes for two McChickens and a Sprite. Ugh! Finally, we made it home around 1 am and immediately crashed. It had been a long day full of excitement.
Making the most of our time in the metro area, Meg and I went to church with Kenzie on Sunday morning, then jumped back on public transportation to go to the Minnesota State Fair.
We ate fried pickles, corn dogs, Martha’s cookies, apple cider freezes, and lots of free water from the Kare 11 booth. Our favorite part of the fair is always the livestock. We spent many hours wandering through the cow, sheep, and rabbit barns. It was another Great Minnesota Get Together in the books!
So it goes… I had an absolutely perfect weekend filled with so many charms. But all good things must come to an end; the Reputation concert, the weekend, and summer have all come to a close. Taylor says, Hold on to the memories, they will hold on to you.
