I survived the oven known as Phoenix, Arizona and have made it safely home to a comfortable 72 degree Minnesota. I had a wonderful little vacation and I have so much to share with you! I’m going to run you through a little convention recap. To see the photo roundup of my first two days in Phoenix click here.
Each year Origami Owl holds a national convention where designers from across the country gather to get business training, witness product reveals, and party their pants off. I have been attending this convention for five years, each year bringing my mom along to keep me company.
Most of convention is spent sitting in a great big room with about 2,000 people. This year’s general sessions included motivational speakers, social media gurus, peer panels, speeches from the founders, and the reveal of the Fall Collection! EEEK!
When not in general session, there is time to attend break out sessions, mingle with other designers, and get inspired with creative Jewelry Bar displays.
Oh, and Origami Owl loves their photo ops. Enjoy this brief photo montage:
Convention weekend caps off with a huge themed dance party. This year was “Fly Me to the Moon”: a 1940s/1950s themed party. We got all gussied up and enjoyed an epic dance party with lots of yummy snacks and delicious cookies (which I forgot to take a picture of! Trust me, they were super cute). And of course, in typical O2 fashion, there were more photo ops:
And with that last photo, convention was over. It was weekend full of business training, personal development, and a whole lot of dancing. It was a weekend full of little charms. (and boy am I excited to show you the new charms in the fall collection!!!!!!)
